2. Cookies: Definition

Cookies are text files that the site sends to the user's device (personal computer, tablet, smartphone, etc.), where they are stored in order to be retransmitted to the same site on the next visit. Cookies make it easier for users to browse the site, analyse their preferences by checking their browsing and, consequently, offer services that are more consistent with the interests of each user. Cookies can be "session" cookies (when they are stored only for the duration of the browsing session on the site and are deleted when the browser is closed), or "permanent" cookies (stored for a longer time, until they expire or are deleted by the user). In addition, cookies may be installed by the site the user is visiting (first-party cookies) or may be installed by other sites or different web servers (third-party cookies).
Please note that cookies allow us to identify and recognize the device accessing the Site, but not who is using it.

3. Cookie Types

a. Technical cookies
Technical cookies are those necessary for the functioning of the Site and the provision of the services it offers. They are not used for any further purposes and are normally installed directly by the website owner. They can be divided into:

  • browsing or session cookies: guarantee the normal browsing and use of the website; they are actually necessary for the correct functioning of the Site. These cookies do not require the acquisition of prior consent from the user.
  • functionality cookies: allow the user to browse according to a series of selected criteria (for example, language) in order to improve the service provided. The installation of such cookies does not require the user's prior consent.

b. Analytical cookies
Analytical cookies are targeted to collect information on the use of the Site by users (number of visitors, pages visited, time spent on the site, etc.), to process statistical analysis, on an aggregate basis, on the number of users and how they browse on our Site. For the use of these cookies, the user's IP address is collected anonymously. Therefore, all information collected by these cookies is anonymous and used for strictly statistical purposes, without storing any personal user data.
The installation and use of these cookies requires the user's consent. In particular, the Site uses Google Analytics, a web traffic analysis service provided by Google Inc., which uses cookies to anonymously analyse information on the use of the Site.
This site does not use the Google analytics tool to track or collect personally identifiable information. Google may also communicate said information to third parties where required to do so by law or where such third parties process the information on behalf of Google. For further information, please refer to the link below: https://www.google.it/policies/privacy/partners/ Users can selectively disable the action of Google Analytics by installing the opt-out component provided by Google on their browser. To disable the action of Google Analytics, please refer to the link below: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

c. Third-party marketing and profiling cookies
Marketing and profiling cookies allow the creation of profiles on users in order to allow them to display relevant ads with the individual user and to send them advertisements in line with the preferences expressed by the same during browsing, if the interested party has provided explicit and informed consent.
The installation and use of these cookies requires the user's consent.
Data is collected and aggregated anonymously using proprietary or third-party software (e.g. Google Analytics). The Site and third-party vendors, including Google, use both proprietary cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie) and third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) to inform, optimize and serve ads based on users' previous visits to the Site.

4. Consent to use cookies

The use of analytical cookies and third-party marketing and profiling cookies requires the user's consent.
When accessing any page of the Site, there is a banner containing summary information on the cookies used by the Site.
Through the banner, users can:

  • refuse the use of analytical cookies and third-party cookies. In this case, the Site will only use technical cookies;
  • express consent to the use of analytical cookies and third-party cookies by clicking the "accept" button;
  • access the list of cookies and click the "customize" button to select their preferences by enabling or disabling individual categories of cookies.

Please note that consent will only be required when accessing the Site for the first time: afterwards, thanks to the use of a technical cookie, we will store the consent given in order to allow to directly access the pages of the Site the next time (this does not affect the right to deactivate/activate cookies at any time or to delete them: in this case, when returning to the Site, the Site will ask for consent again).
Users may in any case modify and manage their preferences regarding cookies by accessing the extended cookie policy available on the appropriate banner and at the bottom of each page of the Site.

5. Cookies used by the site and change of consent

6. User rights

Pursuant to article 13 of the GDPR, the Data Controller informs users that they have the right to:

  • access their personal data, request their correction, updating and cancellation;
  • request the limitation of processing and the portability of the data.

The above-mentioned rights may be exercised by making a request to the Data Controller, who can be contacted at the following e-mail address: info@humanwellness.ch. In addition, those who believe that the processing of personal data relating to them carried out through the Site is in breach of the legislation on the protection of personal data have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Privacy Guarantor.
